Notebook Doodle Series

I was inspired to create a series of blog posts based on my notebook doodles when my friend Nicki took an iPhone snapshot of one of my scribbles during web design, and instantaneously uploaded it to Facebook. Sooooo here we go.

My dear friends Matt and Erica were married this past Saturday. As a way to show them the love, I made them a painting for their wedding gift. White tulips are Erica's favorite flower and were used in the wedding bouquets.

So, to Erica and Matt! I love you guys mucho and wish you the most amazing and fulfilling marriage life can offer.

PS: Have fun getting tan in the Caribbean! (I'm so jealous.)

Metaphoria

Metaphorical self portrait for a class assignment. Usually I'm not one to create a completely digital watercolor, but I thought I would try something new and refresh my somewhat stale Photoshop skills. My metaphor isn't very clever, but my vision wasn't focused on that so much as the pretty colors.......meep.....

OMG! I love this song.

Sometimes, for the sake of a homework assignment we are to forced to use our likeness in our work. These are an example of just that. The idea was to play with the negative/positive space of our document size, utilizing the image and two lines of text. So this is what I did.......
